An Aggie’s connection with aggieTEACH doesn’t end at graduation. In fact, aggieTEACH-Science offers mentor and induction support during a teacher’s first three years (or more) of teaching. There is also a constituent network, the Aggie Educator network, offered through the Association of Former Students that helps Aggie teachers stay connected and informed.

aggieTEACH Mentor and Induction (M&I) Program  – The aggieTEACH M&I Program at Texas A&M University aims to improve retention rates in the teaching field for secondary mathematics and science teachers through resources and relationships.  New teachers can receive support through an aggieTEACH-Science Advisor via phone, email or face-to-face contact. Furthermore, new teachers are granted access to a private LiveBinder website designed to meet the needs of a beginning teacher.  Click the icon above to learn more about the aggieTEACH M&I Program.

Aggie Educator Network (AEN) – Aggie teachers are encouraged to join the AEN, a teacher constituent network within The Association of Former Students. The goal of the AEN is to improve the culture within the teaching profession, help teachers feel more connected with each other, and promote teacher (peer to peer) interaction. The drop-down menu on the Former Students tab brings up the AEN landing page where you can sign up on a listserv to receive more information about the network.

Professional Conferences and Organizations – There are numerous conferences and teacher organizations in which Aggie teachers can be involved.  Click the icon above to view some of these resources.
